Broadcast Freelancer

Roles

I am available for booking as a freelancer or on a short contract basis for broadcast programmes. My roles can include self-shooting DV director, camera operator, Assistant Producer or Researcher. I specialise in fly-on-the-wall documentary and am comfortable interviewing contributors on the go. I’m equally happy arranging filming days, conducting risk assessments and sourcing contributors as required.

I’m happy to work work on development, filming and editing of pilots and taster tapes in exchange for an agreement of contract following commission.

Equipment

I’m competent with a variety of camera models including XD CAM, Canon C300 and XF305 and the new Sony FS7. I use my own Canon C100 with Atomos Ninja 2 which records in ProRes 1080p 50mb/s suitable for BBC and Sky broadcast standards, operating as identical to the C300. Additional equipment include Sennheiser EW100 Radio Microphones, Track Slider, Mini Jib and a GoPro Hero 4 Black.
